the wine is then matured in French oak barrels for as long as it takes for the tannins to soften, and for spice characteristics to be integrated into the wine without sacrificing the fresh fruit characteristics. The result of this care and patience is a full-bodied and aromatic wine that shows plum, cherry, blueberry, and raspberry fruit characteristics with mocha, and sweet spice, and licorice notes too. It is a classic wine from Ribera del Duero and will reward the patience of those who can keep it in their cellars before drinking it

Deep, intensely red colour in glass with hints of violet. Complex and spicy on the nose, rich in ripe fruits intermingled with notes of licorice and nuts. Smooth and affable on the palette, with an elegant attack and intense finish. To best enjoy this wine, we recommend decanting Valdubón Reserva 2010 30 minutes before tasting.
